Minnesota Timberwolves at Portland Trail Blazers

Trail Blazers Defeat T'Wolves, 113-106
The Portland Trail Blazers defeated the visiting Minnesota Timberwolves, 113-106, at Moda Center on Saturday.

While there were only five ties and four lead changes in this game, it stayed within an 11-point margin for the full 48 minutes. With that said, Portland led for all but a couple of minutes. Rebounding was key for the Trail Blazers, out-rebounding the T'Wolves, 45-39. In addition, Portland recorded 13 blocks and nine steals in their win.

The Timberwolves (10-18) were led by Andrew Wiggins, who tallied 33 points, six rebounds and three blocks. Shabazz Napier started and amassed 18 points, four rebounds, four assists and three steals. Gorgui Dieng totaled 15 points, 12 rebounds, two assists and two steals while Jeff Teague led the bench with 18 points, six rebounds and eight assists.

The Trail Blazers (14-16) were led by Damian Lillard and his 29 points, three rebounds and seven assists. C.J.. McCollum generated 26 points, two rebounds, three assists and three steals. Kent Bazemore accumulated 19 points, two rebounds, two assists, three steals and two blocks while Hassan Whiteside finished with 16 points, 22 rebounds and seven blocks.

Both teams return to action on Monday, with Portland remaining home to face the struggling New Orleans Pelicans and Minnesota facing the Golden State Warriors on the road.
