Grizzlies Hold On In Solid Team Win
The Memphis Grizzlies defeated the visiting Sacramento Kings, 119-115, at FedEx Forum on Saturday evening.

Seven players scored in double digits for the Grizzlies, as they held on for their fifth win in their last eight games, while this marks the third straight loss for the Kings. The contest got out to a competitive start with a back-and-forth first quarter, with the Grizzlies taking a 23-21 lead into the second. The Grizzlies turned it up in the second and outscored the visitors by eight points in the quarter, to take a 60-50 lead into halftime. The Grizzlies held a steady lead through the third and managed to expand their cushion to 13, heading into the final frame. They pushed their lead up to 17, early in the fourth. The Kings rallied to make it a seven-point game with 30 seconds left, but the Grizzlies held on for the home win.

Seven players scored in double digits for Memphis, led by Jaren Jackson Jr., who tallied 18 points, five rebounds, four blocks, three steals and two assists, in 31 minutes. Jae Crowder added 17 points, 10 rebounds and five assists, while Dillon Brooks finished with 16 points, six rebounds and three assists. The Grizzlies shot 48 percent from the field, including 15-of-35 from deep.

Meanwhile, Harrison Barnes led the Kings with 25 points, five assists and four rebounds, in 37 minutes. Richaun Holmes added 18 points, 12 rebounds, two assists, a steal and a block, while De'Aaron Fox totaled 22 points, four assists, three steals and three rebounds. The Kings shot 43 percent from the field, including 11-of-36 from long range.

The Kings (12-17) will look to bounce back as they play host to the Rockets on Monday. The Grizzlies (11-19) play host to the Spurs on Monday.
