Wizards Blast Hornets, 121-107
The Washington Wizards defeated the Charlotte Hornets, 121-107, at Capital One Arena on Thursday night.

The Hornets (16-32) got off to a surprisingly quick start against the defensively challenged Wizards (16-31), building a 33-26 first-quarter lead. However, Washington started its comeback in the second chipping two points off their deficit before intermission and then changing the dynamic of the game altogether by outscoring Charlotte, 31-19, in the third quarter. That gave the hosts a seven-point advantage heading into the final period, one they wouldn't relinquish.

Miles Bridges led the Hornets with 23 points, complementing them with six rebounds, three assists and two steals. Terry Rozier furnished 21 points, seven boards, three assists, one steal and one block. P.J. Washington delivered 15 points, while Willy Hernangomez supplied 12 points, four rebounds, one assist, one steal and one block. Devonte' Graham registered 11 points, eight assists, three rebounds and three steals.

Bradley Beal paced the Wizards with 34 points, supplementing them with nine rebounds, nine assists and one block. Thomas Bryant turned in 21 points, eight rebounds, two assists and one block. Isaiah Thomas posted 18 points, six rebounds and one assist. Troy Brown, Jr. compiled 12 points, six boards, one assist and two steals. Ish Smith finished with 11 points, seven assists, five rebounds and one block.

The Hornets remain on the road and take on the San Antonio Spurs on Saturday night, while the Wizards remain home against the Brooklyn Nets on Saturday night as well.
