Celtics Confident In Second Straight Win
The Boston Celtics defeated the visiting Golden State Warriors, 119-104, at TD Garden on Thursday evening.

The Celtics got out to a good start at home and led 29-22 after one quarter. They carried the momentum into the second and held a double-digit lead for most of the quarter and took a 10-point lead into halftime. The Celtics stayed in control through the third, while the Warriors could not cut into the lead and trailed by 12, heading into the final frame. The Celtics pushed their lead as high as 19, in the fourth quarter and held on for their second straight win, while this marks the fifth straight loss for the Warriors.

Gordon Hayward led the Celtics with 25 points, eight rebounds, three assists, a steal and a block, in 32 minutes. Marcus Smart added 21 points, six assists, three rebounds, a steal and a block, while Jayson Tatum finished with 20 points, six rebounds, two assists, a steal and a block. Then Celtics shot 48 percent from the field, including 15-of-35 from long range.

Meanwhile, D'Angelo Russell led the Warriors with 22 points five assists, three rebounds and three steals, in 28 minutes. Alec Burks added 18 points, four rebounds and a steal, while Damion Lee and Glenn Robinson III tallied 11 points each. The Warriors shot 43 percent from the field, including 12-of-39 from long range.

The Warriors (10-39) will look to bounce back as they take on the Cavs in Cleveland on Saturday. The Celtics (32-15) play host to the 76ers on Saturday.
