Trail Blazers Topple Magic, 118-103
The Portland Trail Blazers defeated the Orlando Magic, 118-103, at Moda Center on Friday night.

The Trail Blazers (13-16) came out of the gates playing stellar ball on both ends of the floor, as they jumped out to a 31-13 first-quarter lead. The Magic (12-17) were much more competitive from that point forward, actually outscoring Portland by a 90-87 margin over the final three quarters. However, that wasn't nearly enough to erase the significant hole they'd dug from themselves, with Orlando suffering its 11th home loss in fairly convincing fashion.

Nikola Vucevic led the Magic with a 23-point, 12-rebound double-double that also included an assist, six steals and two blocks. D.J. Augustin followed with a bench-leading 17 points. Evan Fournier poured in 16 points and added three assists, two rebounds and one steal. Aaron Gordon provided 11 points, 11 rebounds, four assists and one block. Jonathan Isaac and Markelle Fultz generated matching 10-point tallies.

Damian Lillard paced the Trail Blazers with 36 points and also furnished six assists, three rebounds and one steal. C.J. McCollum totaled 31 points, eight rebounds, four assists and one steal. Kent Bazemore delivered 11 points, four boards, one steal and one block. Hassan Whiteside generated a 10-point, 17-rebound double-double that also included five blocks.

The Magic head back home to take on the Chicago Bulls on Monday night, while the Trail Blazers remain home and tangle with the Minnesota Timberwolves on Saturday night.
