Warriors Get Past Pelicans, 106-102
The Golden State Warriors defeated the New Orleans Pelicans, 106-102, at Chase Center on Friday night.

The Warriors (6-24) found some rare success in the first quarter, dominating the Pelicans (7-24) on both ends of the floor over the first 12 minutes to the tune of a 31-16 advantage. However, New Orleans subsequently outscored Golden State by a 65-47 margin over the middle periods, which sent the Pelicans into the fourth quarter with a three-point edge. A see-saw final period ensued, with the hosts finishing the game on a 6-2 run over the final 38.4 seconds to clinch the hard-fought home win.

Jrue Holiday and Brandon Ingram co-led the Pelicans with matching 25-point efforts, with Holiday adding eight rebounds and Ingram also dishing out eight assists. JJ Redick and Lonzo Ball provided matching 14-point, four-rebound efforts, with Ball also recording six steals. Derrick Favors managed 10 points, nine rebounds, one assist and one block.

D'Angelo Russell paced the Warriors with 25 points while also dishing out seven assists, posting two rebounds and recording two steals. Damion Lee furnished 20 points and six boards. Alec Burks totaled 18 points, eight rebounds, three assists and four steals. Draymond Green supplied 10 points, eight assists, four rebounds and two steals.

The Pelicans remain on the road and tangle with the Portland Trail Blazers on Monday night, while the Warriors remain home and face the Minnesota Timberwolves on Monday night.
