Celtics Pummel Pistons, 114-93
The Boston Celtics defeated the visiting Detroit Pistons, 114-93, at TD Garden on Friday.

While there were four ties and five lead changes in the opening 15 minutes of this game, Boston dominated from there. In fact, the Celtics outscored the Pistons, 63-43, in the second and third quarters, leading by at least 20 points for the entirety of the fourth quarter. The Celtics shot 52 percent from the field while holding the Pistons to just 40 percent shooting. In addition, Boston out-rebounded Detroit, 51-36 while out-blocking them, 9-2. The Pistons also committed 24 turnovers.

The Pistons (11-18) were led by Andre Drummond, who collected 12 points, 11 rebounds, four assists and six steals. Markieff Morris amassed 10 points, six rebounds, two assists and two blocks. Bruce Brown accrued nine points, five rebounds and five assists while Thon Maker led the bench with 15 points and seven boards.

The Celtics (19-7) were led by Jaylen Brown, who tallied 26 points, five rebounds, five assists and three steals. Jayson Tatum totaled 26 points, five rebounds, three assists and two steals. Daniel Theis generated eight points, six rebounds and four blocks while Kemba Walker led the team with 11 assists despite not making a shot. Enes Kanter led the team with 18 rebounds off the bench.

On deck for Boston is a home game against the Charlotte Hornets on Sunday. They actually play only one team with a record over .500 across their next 10 games. As for Detroit, they face the Chicago Bulls on Saturday for their next outing.
