Warriors Topple Timberwolves, 113-104
The Golden State Warriors defeated the Minnesota Timberwolves, 113-104, at Chase Center on Monday night.

The two spiraling squads matched each other bucket for bucket in the first quarter, before the Warriors (7-24) opened up a 14-point lead heading into halftime. Golden State managed to tack on another three points to its advantage during the third, but the Timberwolves (10-19) put a scare into their hosts in the fourth by getting as close as 95-89 with 5:02 remaining. Ultimately, Minnesota didn't quite have enough offensive firepower without Karl-Anthony Towns (knee), who missed his third straight game.

Andrew Wiggins led the way for the Timberwolves with 22 points, seven rebounds, two assists and one block. Jordan McLaughlin furnished 19 points, four assists, two rebounds and three steals. Jeff Teague supplied 12 points, four assists, one rebound and one block. Gorgui Dieng turned in 11 points, eight rebounds, one assist, three steals and one block. Keita Bates-Diop poured in 10 points.

D'Angelo Russell paced the Warriors with 30 points, complementing them with four rebounds and four assists. Alec Burks managed 25 points, eight assists, two rebounds, three steals and one block. Damion Lee registered 14 points, seven rebounds, three assists and one steal. Willie Cauley-Stein turned in 12 points, seven rebounds, one assist, three blocks and two steals.

The Timberwolves next pay a visit to the Sacramento Kings on Thursday night, while the Warriors await a Christmas Day visit from the Houston Rockets on Wednesday.
