Nuggets Defeat Suns, 113-111
The Denver Nuggets defeated the host Phoenix Suns, 113-111, at Talking Stick Resort Arena on Monday.

This game came down to the final shot, with Jamal Murray playing hero. In fact, he broke a tied game with 2.5 seconds left, hitting a step-back jumper to win the game. Devin Booker had a chance to re-take the lead at the buzzer with a three, but Jerami Grant blocked it. The Suns actually made a huge comeback in this game though, overcoming a 16-point deficit to lead for most of the fourth quarter. The key for Denver was their shooting, hitting 55 percent from the field and 54 percent from three-point range while holding Phoenix to 48 percent from the field and 35 percent from long range.

The Nuggets (21-8) got a triple-double from Nikola Jokic, collecting 22 points, 12 rebounds and 10 assists. Murray finished with 28 points, three rebounds, seven assists and two steals. Will Barton accrued 13 points, six rebounds, five assists and two steals while Paul Millsap amassed 10 points, eight rebounds and two assists.

The Suns (11-19) were led by Ricky Rubio and his 21 points, seven rebounds and nine assists. Booker totaled 11 points, three rebounds and six assists on just 3-of-12 shooting. Kelly Oubre Jr accumulated 14 points, three rebounds and three assists while Frank Kaminsky led the bench with 13 points and three boards.

Denver will return to action on Wednesday, playing host to the New Orleans Pelicans. As for Phoenix, they return to action on Friday against the Golden State Warriors on the road.
