Spurs Defeat Grizzlies, 145-115
The San Antonio Spurs defeated the host Memphis Grizzlies, 145-115, at Fed Ex Forum on Monday.

While San Antonio didn't necessarily win in wire-to-wire fashion, a 46-31 first quarter really set the tone. In fact, the Grizzlies led by at least eight points from there, riding a 73-54 second half to their dominating 30-point victory, The Spurs ended up shooting 67 percent from the field and 63 percent from three-point range while recording 36 assists. They did that while winning the rebounding battle, 46-35.

The Spurs (12-17) were led by LaMarcus Aldridge, tallying 40 points, nine rebounds, five assists and three blocks. DeMar DeRozan amassed 26 points, three rebounds, 10 assists and three steals. Trey Lyles started and totaled 17 points, eight rebounds and four assists while Dejounte Murray accrued 14 points, six rebounds, four assists and two steals.

The Grizzlies (11-20) were led by Jaren Jackson Jr and his 22 points, two rebounds and two assists. Ja Morant accumulated 19 points, three rebounds and four assists. Jonas Valanciunas provided 18 points, 12 rebounds and three assists while Tyus Jones led the bench with 11 points, three rebounds and three assists.

Both teams return to action on Thursday, with San Antonio remaining on the road to face the Dallas Mavericks while Memphis travels to face the Oklahoma City Thunder.
