Heat Hand Sixers First Home Loss
The Miami Heat defeated the host Philadelphia 76ers, 108-104, at Wells Fargo Center on Wednesday evening.

The Heat put on a great performance to hand the 76ers their first home loss of the season. The 76ers got out to a good start at home, as they led through the first quarter and took a 29-19 lead into the second. The Heat turned it up a notch in the second and outscored the hosts by 18 points in the quarter, to take a 56-48 lead into halftime. The Heat held a solid lead through the third but the Sixers brought it to a four-point game late in the quarter, before trailing by eight again, to start the fourth. The Heat caught fire to start the fourth and quickly pushed their lead to 16, but the 76ers had no quit, as they cut it to a two-point game with one second left. The Heat sealed the deal at the foul line to move to 9-7 on the road.

Kendrick Nunn led the Heat with 26 points, five assists, four rebounds and a steal, in 41 minutes. Bam Adebayo finished tie 23 points, nine rebounds, five assists, two blocks and two steals, while Jimmy Butler added 14 points, seven rebounds, five assists and two steals. The Heat shot 47 percent from the field, including 12-of-31 from long range.

Meanwhile, Joel Embiid led the 76ers with 22 points, 19 rebounds, three assists, two blocks and a steal, in 35 minutes. Tobias Harris tallied 20 points, four rebounds and two assists, while Josh Richardson and Ben Simmons added 17 points each. The Sixers shot 42 percent from the field, including 12-of-39 from long range.

The Sixers (20-9) will look to bounce back as they play host to the Mavs on Friday. The Heat (20-8) play host to the Knicks on Friday.
