Cavaliers Return Home With Win Over Hornets
The Cleveland Cavaliers defeated the Charlotte Hornets, 100-98, at Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse on Wednesday evening.

The Cavaliers (7-21) were coming off a 1-2 road trip, and they used a strong first half to take care of a struggling Hornets (13-18) team that couldn’t complete a comeback in the second half. Cleveland went up 29-21 following the first quarter, and they extended their lead to 12 points following a 24-20 second quarter (53-41). Charlotte tried to mount a comeback and while the third quarter ended tied at 23-23, the Hornets went on a scoring run and won the final 12 minutes by a 10-point margin (34-24). That was not enough, however, and Cleveland secured the win. With the win, the Cavaliers improved to 4-10 at home while the Hornets fell to 6-10 on the road.

Collin Sexton was the best player for the Cavaliers, as he ended with 23 points while shooting 10-for-14 from the field. Cedi Osman had 18 points, while Kevin Love sniffed a triple-double after posting 16 points, 14 rebounds and seven assists. Tristan Thompson added 14 points, 13 rebounds and two assists. Jordan Clarkson added 10 points off the bench.

Terry Rozier had perhaps his best game with the Hornets, as he ended with 35 points even though he needed 27 shots to reach that mark. Cody Zeller had 15 points with nine boards, while Marvin Williams had 10 points, four rebounds and four assists off the bench. One of the biggest disappointments was Devonte’ Graham, who ended with nine points and nine assists, but he made just three of his 16 shots from the field.
