Wizards Edge Nets, 113-107
The Washington Wizards defeated the Brooklyn Nets, 113-107, at Capital One Arena on Saturday night.

The Nets (21-27) could hardly have gotten off to a better start, as they forged a nine-point lead through the first 12 minutes with a 36-point first quarter. The Wizards (17-31) began their comeback in the second quarter, however, erasing all but two points from their deficit during the second period. Brooklyn managed to emerge from the third with a slim three-point lead intact, and they were ahead by as much as nine with 7:34 remaining. Washington then mounted a furious rally that would propel them to victory, finishing on a 23-8 run that saw them take the lead for good with 2:13 left.

Spencer Dindwiddie led the Nets with 26 points, complementing them with six assists, four rebounds and one steal. Joe Harris delivered 22 points, three rebounds and three assists. Garrett Temple supplied 17 points, five rebounds, one assist, one steal and one block. Jarrett Allen generated a 13-point, 15-rebound double-double that also included five assists and two blocks. Kyrie Irving delivered 11 points, four rebounds, four assists, one steal and one block before exiting due to a knee sprain with 5:29 remaining.

Bradley Beal paced the Wizards with 34 points, supplementing them with six rebounds, two assists, three steals and three blocks. Thomas Bryant posted a 17-point, 10-rebound double-double that also included one block. Isaiah Thomas turned in 12 points, three assists and two rebounds. Davis Bertans finished with 11 points, seven rebounds, three assists, one steal and one block. Ish Smith matched Bertans' scoring and also posted five boards and four assists.

The Nets remain home and take on the Phoenix Suns on Monday night, while the Wizards remain home to tangle with the Golden State Warriors on Monday night as well.
