Celtics Confident In Third Straight Win
The Boston Celtics defeated the visiting Philadelphia 76ers, 116-95, at TD Garden on Saturday evening.

The Celtics got out to a great start at home, with a 32-19 lead after one quarter. The Celtics maintained a double-digit lead through most of the second quarter, but the 76ers managed to cut it to an eight-point game by halftime. The Celtics came out strong in the third and outscored the visitors by 11 points in the quarter, to take a 19-point in the final frame. The Celtics stayed in control through the fourth and pushed their lead to 23 points, with three minutes left in the contest. This marks the third straight win for the Celtics and the second straight loss for the 76ers.

Jaylen Brown led the Celtics with 32 points, nine rebounds and two steals, in 34 minutes. Jayson Tatum added 25 points, four assists, three rebounds, a steal and a block, while Marcus Smart chipped in 16 points, four rebounds, four rebounds and two steals. The Celtics shot 48 percent from the field, including 8-of-30 from long range.

Meanwhile, Ben Simmons led the Sixers with 23 points, nine rebounds, five assists and a steal, in 37 minutes. Furkan Korkmaz added 14 points, four rebounds, two assists and a steal, while Joel Embiid was quiet with 11 points, five rebounds and two blocks, in 23 minutes. The 76ers shot 37 percent from the field, including 7-of-33 from long range.

The 76ers (31-19) look to bounce back as they take on the Heat in Miami on Monday. The Celtics (33-15) take on the Hawks in Atlanta on Monday.
