Despite No Doncic Or Porzingis, Mavs End Two-Game Slide
The Dallas Mavericks defeated the visiting Atlanta Hawks, 123-100, at American Airlines Center on Saturday evening.

Despite missing Luka Doncic (ankle) and Kristaps Porzingis (rest), the Mavericks got out to a great start at home and held on for the impressive home win. They led by 10 points after one quarter and maintained control through the second to carry a 13-point lead into halftime. The Cavs came out strong again in the third quarter and outscored the Hawks by 12 points in the quarter, to take a convincing 25-point lead into the final frame. The Hawks kept up their fight in the fourth but it was not enough, as the Mavs held on to end a two-game slide.

Jalen Brunson led the Mavericks with 27 points, eight assists and four rebounds, in 27 minutes. Dorian Finney-Smith added 22 points, seven rebounds, four assists, two steals and a block, while Seth Curry chipped in 15 points, six rebounds and two assists. The Mavericks shot 47 percent from the field, including 20-of-39 from long range.

Meanwhile, John Collins led the Hawks with 26 points and 11 rebounds, in 33 minutes. Kevin Huerter added 20 points, three assists and a steal, while Trae Young finished with 12 points and six rebounds. The Hawks shot 41 percent from the field, including 10-of-33 from long range. Trae Young (ankle) and Cam Reddish (face) were both forced to leave the game early.

The Hawks (13-37) will look to bounce back as they play host to the Celtics on Monday. The Mavericks (30-19) take on the Pacers in Indiana on Monday.
